The British Esports Association announced it will be hosting the second annual Scottish College Cup Rocket League Tournament. This competition series is expected to begin in late November and run through early December. Additionally, the organization partnered with College Development Network to promote the event series.
The competition requires each college to register for the British Esports Student Championship season which starts in January. Each college can submit one team that is comprised of five players. From there, they will compete against other schools until a champion is crowned.
“CDN is excited to be partnering once again with British Esports on Scotland’s inter-college esports championship. It will be great to watch the teams battling it out for the second time, to win the cup,” said Kenji Lamb, digital and innovation lead at CDN. “It’s not just the competition though, it’s everything that comes along with it: the gaming societies being formed; communities of students engaging with their institutions and each other; and the skills we pick up when we learn, work and play together.”
Group play for the Scottish College Cup will run from November 22nd to December 3rd. After that, the playoffs will take place on December 4th and 5th.
