NCAA Football Game Featured “Halo Infinite” Promotion During Halftime

As Halo Infinite inches closer to its December 8th release date, the promotions are getting really big and exciting. Xbox presented a promotion during halftime of the Oregon vs. Oregon State football game which featured a Pelican spaceship flying over the field before landing on the logo at mid-field.

Xbox used mixed reality technology to show the giant ship on the big screen at Autzen Stadium and to fans watching on TV from home. The Pelican looked so realistic and was able to catch everyone’s attention immediately. As part of the promotion, the Oregon marching band also played music from Halo Infinite while the Pelican was making its approach.

This is not the first time mixed reality has got so much attention at a sports event. Back in September 2021, the Carolina Panthers used the same technology to show a black panther jumping around Bank of America Stadium.

So expect to see this amazing technology much more, especially at sporting events in the near future.
