Ludwig Set To Host Biggest “Super Smash Bros.” Tournament Ever

Ludwig Ahgren recently announced he would be hosting one of the biggest Super Smash Bros. esports tournaments in history. This news came just days after the streamer revealed that he would be leaving Twitch for YouTube Gaming.

Very little information is currently known about the competition. However, the prize pool for the Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments, which will reportedly take place sometime next year, will be about $1 million.

“In 2022, I will make the biggest Smash tournament of all time in both entrants and prize pool for Melee and Ultimate. This will probably cost $1 million,” he said. “I was genuinely thinking of giving up a month of my life so I had the resources to throw away a million dollars and have it not be stupid. Being with YouTube, I can just do that.”
