On December 6th, Lakeshore Technical College announced construction on the school’s brand new esports arena had been completed. Students can now play video games and participate in esports-related events at the venue free of charge.
“As a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports, we are excited to open this new arena and encourage students to visit and play for fun or try out for our competitive teams,” said LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen. “We look forward to giving the other teams in our conference some serious competition.”
The 900-square-foot arena has several amenities. This includes 11 gaming stations, consoles, and high-tech computers outfitted with state-of-the-art gaming peripherals.
Lakeshore Technical College is a public community college located in Cleveland, Wisconsin. As of the 2018-19 academic year, there are over 1,900 students enrolled at the school.
