There continues to be more and more overlap between the world of gaming and K-pop music. On December 16th, Talon Esports announced that it had brought on Kim “Min” Min-young as a brand ambassador for the organization.
A video announcing the partnership was uploaded to YouTube on the same day. In this piece, Min is seen playing her way through multiple famous video games like Call of Duty and Super Mario. She also takes time to discuss her experiences in gaming and K-pop.
“A really important factor was that she was naturally a gamer,” said Talon’s CEO, Sean Zhang, in the announcement video, “and that she was already using gaming as a pastime.”
Min started her music career in 2010 as a member of the K-pop band Miss A. The group rose to superstardom before disbanding in 2017.
