On December 17th, Tencent announced it had acquired Turtle Rock Studios, the parent company of Slamfire Inc. This deal will see Turtle Rock maintain its independent operations out of California while becoming a part of Tencent. Its pre-existing team will continue to run all ongoing and future studio operations.

Turtle Rock Studios Inc is a world-famous video game development company. The organization is best-known for creating hit titles like Back 4 Blood, Evolve, and Left 4 Dead.
