The Halo Infinite Championship got a big surprise when All Elite Wrestling (AEW) wrestler and avid Halo fan, Adam Cole “Bay Bay,” appeared and rocked the whole tournament. Cole is a Halo fanatic, which he’s made apparent by playing through the entire series on his Twich channel. Since the release of Halo: Infinite on December 8th, Cole has been exclusively playing the game on his stream.
One of the hosts of the show and a former announcer for AEW, Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, introduced him to the audience. Once Cole’s music hit and he made his way to the stage, he and Goldenboy did the signature “Adam Cole Bay Bay!” pose together.
Budding professional wrestling promotion AEW has cemented its place in the industry with surprising acquisitions. Among those acquisitions are Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and many more. Each star has amplified the promotion’s presence significantly.
Halo: Infinite has brought the competitive side of esports back into the limelight, and it is a great sight for any Halo fan or any gamer in general. The franchise had longed for another iteration since 2015 and Xbox finally answered that call. The title has only received positive reviews from the community, as the game stays true to the source material and harnesses all the key points that made the franchise successful in the first place. The decision to take the multiplayer of the game free-to-play was indeed groundbreaking. However, its positive impacts will soon be felt as the title continues to pick up heat and a new fanbase.
