Lenovo officials have unveiled a new tablet with the Legion branding, revealing partially its looks, design, and Dolby Vision Audio. The device is called the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet and features 8.8-inch, 120hz display.
The Legion branding, plus the name, suggests that the tablet is aimed at gamers, specifically, mobile gamers who want something bigger than a smartphone, but not as big as a tablet. The 2560 x 1600 display fulfills just that. The device has a 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and supports the 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The bezels of the Legion are of unequal width, and the device contains a single camera with a flash on the rear. Previous teasers have revealed that the tablet features a boxy design with sharp, right-angled edges and a brushed metal finish, which has been applied to these edges for a more premium look. One of the edges was also previously shown to feature JBL, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos tags, indicating that the tablet will likely also feature some really high-quality speakers for a great gaming experience.
Lenovo has not provided any more details about the upcoming tablet yet but as a gaming-focused device, we can expect it to host a powerful SoC, which can be Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
