Frederik Rasmussen Named Esports Driver Of The Year By Traxion.GG And Autosport

The results are in. After voting had concluded by Autosport Magazine and Traxion.GG readers, it was announced that Frederik Rasmussen had been named the 2021 Esports Driver of the Year. He won the title after beating out other well-known esports athletes like Kevin Siggy, Josh Rogers, and Mitchell DeJong.

“My biggest support system has probably been my parents,” Rasmussen said. “They’ve always been very supportive. Except they wanted me to get an education first. But I eventually quit, since I could certainly make a living and focus in Esports. But they supported me quitting education and all that, which was great. Thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Driver of the Year Award.”

Frederik Rasmussen is a 21-year-old Danish sim-racing driver. Last year, he won the Formula E: Accelerate championship, which is a series that used the rFactor 2 platform. He also placed second in the 2021 Formula 1 Esports Series Pro Championship.
