Jackie Felling was recently named the new commissioner of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) for the 2022 season. She will be tasked with adjusting the LCS to reflect Riot Games’ corporate vision. Moreover, she will take on another role with the organization as its Head of North American League of Legends.
“It would be easy to be intimidated by the challenge of leading the LCS product with its decade-plus history, passionate fans, engaged owners, and high expectations for North America – but instead I feel genuinely excited to listen and learn and take time to understand what this ecosystem needs and wants,” Felling said. “Over the next few weeks and months, the LCS team and I will be listening to players, teams, and the community to continue to execute the current product strategy and build a vision for the future of LCS.”
Before becoming commissioner of the LCS, Felling served as the Director of Product for the Call of Duty League. She comes into the position with more than a decade and a half of experience in the gaming industry. She had previously served as the global head of esports for Gears of War as well as the product lead for the Overwatch League.
