Shamir Optical Industries Limited recently announced it had agreed to a multi-year partnership extension with the Alpine Formula 1 Team. As a result of this deal, Shamir will serve as the optical performance partner of the Alpine Esports Team, providing the organization with ocular assessments, improved safety equipment, and new technologies.
Moreover, Alpine Esports will work with Shamir to develop new products that improve the visual qualities of simulated racing setups in order to further benefit driver performances. This research and development program will be based around the relationship between the brain and the eyes, ensuring improvements to individuals’ cognitive abilities.
“After partnering with Alpine F1 Team, becoming the Optical Performance Partner of Alpine Esports represents for us another step in our mission to provide improved visual experience in all areas of activity,” said Yagen Moshe, the CEO of Shamir. “We are very proud to support the team with our know-how and technologies. We will be focusing our R&D efforts on developing specialized lens products for gamers and for high digital users, thus expanding our line of lenses personalized and dedicated to particular needs.”
Shamir and Alpine first agreed to a partnership back in May of 2021. This deal aimed to improve the safety and visual health of every member of the Alpine racing team.
