ESL Gaming recently announced it signed an exclusive image licensing partnership with the digital media platform ESPAT. As a result of this deal, ESPAT will serve as the official photo distribution partner of both the ESL Pro League and the Intel Extreme Masters which kicked off competition in late-February with IEM Katowice 2022.
ESPAT will capture key moments in ESL Gaming events and then distribute these images on ESPAT’s platform for editorial use. Both organizations will reportedly explore new innovation opportunities over the course of the partnership. This will include the application of ESPAT technology “to unlock interactivity” in ESL digital images.
“ESL Gaming is one of the preeminent organizations in the world of gaming and esports, with unparalleled global reach. ESPAT is proud to call ESL a partner, and together we look forward to driving innovation within gaming content creation,” said Matt Hill, ESPAT’s CEO. “Our licensing and technology solution will help scale the accessibility of premium ESL imagery while generating new ways for photographers and creators to monetize their platforms. We’re excited to enhance our service to the CS:GO community beginning with IEM Katowice 2022.”
IEM Katowice 2022 was held from February 25th to February 27th. The next Intel Extreme Masters event scheduled for this year is IEM Cologne 2022, a CS:GO tournament that will take place in Germany this coming July.
