The famous streamer and Twitch content creator Macaiyla recently announced she would be leaving Cloud9 after she was asked to delete a tweet she made in reference to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This comes after she Tweeted out a message of support for LS, who was let go from Cloud9 after briefly coaching the organization’s League of Legends team.
On February 19th, she sent out a message of support for LS. She said that he “should be well respected. He is not some evil vile individual. He puts his best into everything. And he gave up everything to be on this org.” She concluded this post by saying she was “f*cking irritated.”
Five days later, Macaiyla’s tension with Cloud9 reached a breaking point after she wrote that “Kanye would stop this war if he was president. True.” These comments were seen as distasteful, and Cloud9 requested the tweet be removed. She did end up deleting the post, but not before releasing another controversial statement.
Cloud9 has not released an official statement on this matter or Macaiyla’s status within the organization. However, Macaiyla has already stated that she resigned from the North American gaming organization.
