Insomnia68 has unveiled its plans for the Insomnia Gaming Festival in April, which will feature four main esports competitions in League of Legends, CS:GO, Overwatch, and VALORANT. The event is BYOC (Bring your own computer), so anyone can sign up and take part from April 15th to the 18th at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre in England.
League of Legends (LoL) and VALORANT will each have a minimum prize pool of $3,954 (rising to $6,591 with 48 teams). Meanwhile, Overwatch will have a $4,943 prize pool with CS:GO having a $6,591 prize pool. (rising to $8,239 with 64 teams).
There will also be community intermediate tournaments in the same four games – Overwatch, CS:GO, LoL, and VALORANT – with the first prize being $65 per player. Then, there are casual BYOC tournaments in Golf With Your Friends, Age of Empires 4, Starcraft 2, and more.
Insomnia esports manager Kharne said Rocket League may come back to Insomnia next time. The game was omitted due to Psyonix’s new, stricter Rocket League community tournament rules.
