Dr Disrespect Goes After YouTube Gaming

Dr Disrespect did not appreciate being snubbed for the 2022 Streamer Awards. In a March 17th tweet, The Doc claimed that YouTube Gaming had never promoted or supported him even though he was able to help the platform rise to relevance.

“When you put YouTube Gaming streaming on the map yet they don’t even follow you, tweet about you, mention you, etc,” Dr Disrespect said in a social media post. “Seriously, just stop and think about it for a second.”

Dr Disrespect’s issues with major streaming platforms have been well-documented. In June of 2020, The Doc was permanently banned from Twitch for “unexplained reasons.” This caused him to return to streaming on YouTube in August of 2020 where he maxed out at 510,000 concurrent viewers.

The Profit‘s Take:

This is a direct shot at YouTube Gaming, which (as we know) is a disaster. The Doc’s character transcends the platform he is on. I think he would be successful anywhere. However, I feel there are A LOT of guys that don’t have that strength of personality. I think it’s time to call YouTube Gaming buying big streamers a failure.
