Esports And Gaming Lounge Opened At MSU Texas

Midwestern State University (MSU Texas) recently held a grand opening event for the school’s brand new esports and gaming lounge. This space features 13 high-speed computers and a console gaming area where video game enthusiasts can come together and play against each other.

“I’m really excited to see this finally come to fruition. It’s been a piece that’s been in the works for months now there were a lot of hangups a lot of left turns,” said Stangs Gaming Club Treasurer Oz Taylor. “A lot of people obviously don’t get into gaming too much because the equipment is so expensive and here we are providing them this really expensive equipment that they wouldn’t be able to use usually.”

This gaming lounge is located in the school’s Legacy Hall. Any MSU Texas student is welcome to try out the facility and its devices for free.

Midwestern State University is a Wichita Falls, Texas-based school that was founded in 1922. It is recognized as the only liberal arts-focused public institution in the state.
