Ben Baller Makes Gold Gaming Headset

Is there anything more beautiful than combining good looks and peak functionality? That’s what Ben Baller’s gaming headphones collab with Master & Dynamic seeks to answer.

The company’s new luxury, MG20 Wireless Gaming Headphones is the perfect blend of swag and performance. Launched on April 29th, the MG20s can only be purchased through the live video stream shop app NTWRK, where the going rate for a pair is $450.

It ain’t cheap, but are they worth it? Well, these matted gold, lambskin leather headphones certainly look the part, but let’s take a look at the stuff that makes ‘em tick. Performance-wise, the headset retains the 7.1 surround sound headphones and custom 50mm Beryllium drivers in addition to a detachable boom mic.

A review from TechRadar called the MG20s “terrific, with high-quality sounds and design, and versatile connectivity features that work well for both gaming and listening to music.”

The Profit‘s Take:

I’m all for gold-plated anything. I just don’t understand why you do this with technology. I’m not usually a fan of gold-plated technology because the next, better accessory almost always comes out a year later in this industry. Headphones may be the only place to do this. With that being said, attaching Ben Baller to this project doesn’t really move the dial for me.
