Allied Esports Entertainment has launched a rewards program that will integrate its Epicbeast NFTs into real-world experiences. Allied hosted “Unleash the Beast,” a launch party at the HyperX Arena to kick off the new program. The party also featured tournaments in Tekken, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros.
The new rewards program will have participants earning “Beast Points” through merchandise purchases and by competing in various monthly competitions. Tournament winners will also receive an Epicbeast NFT. Beast Points can be used to access monthly prizes or they can be collected and cashed in for an Epicbeast NFT.
“The big news for us is that in the last four years, Allied and the HyperX Arena have become a renowned destination,” said Jud Hannigan, CEO of Allied Esports. “They flock to our tournaments, they drive in and fly in to compete on our stage. We definitely appeal to a digital-first audience. They have a natural understanding of how digital ownership works. We look at this as the next step.”
Hannigan and Allied Esports might be on to something. The market company YouGov recently put out a study showing how esports fans likely to use cryptocurrencies in the next year increased from 32% to 46%.
