GTA Teleguam Forms Partnership With The University of Guam

GTA Teleguam has agreed to a sponsorship deal with the University of Guam for their Triton Esports team. GTA says it will assist the Triton Esports team in “connecting and elevating the gaming industry on Guam.” Additionally, the team was given a $5,000 check that will be divided amongst the school’s ten athletes next year in the form of $500 stipends.

“Esports is a growing industry, and with an increase in esports viewership over the years, it was only fitting for GTA to support the local gaming culture,” said Nathan Denight, Vice President of Marketing at GTA Teleguam. “We aim to foster connections, empower our local athletes, build on their leadership qualities, and create networking opportunities through innovative technologies through our support and commitment. GTA’s reliable and fast internet powers Guam’s local gamers with the world, which allows us to compete globally.”

GTA and Triton Esports have collaborated in the past, during the Alpha Warriors Esports Championships in May, for which GTA provided the connection to stream the competition on Twitch.
