X7 Esports recently announced it had acquired the British gaming org London Esports for an undisclosed amount of money. This comes after X7 acquired two other esports orgs, Bulldog and Absolved, last fall.
Following this acquisition, the CEO of London Esports, Alfie Wright, was named the new Chief Operating Officer of the organization. Wright will be tasked with streamlining X7’s business development plans, helping build out the company’s partnership portfolio.
Now that Wright will take on this position, the current COO, TJ Harwood, will move into a different, unannounced role at X7. Moreover, Meg Sunshine was named a partnership executive for the company.
“X7 have already proven their potential as an esports team,” Wright said. “This is the perfect time for me to come on board, working alongside Josh and the team to help steady the ship as we look to cement our spot at the highest competitions in multiple titles.”
X7 Esports was founded in December of 2020. The organization competes exclusively in League of Legends.
