Dignitas recently revealed their plans to leave competitive CS:GO for the “foreseeable future,” adding that the squad’s players and coaches have been released from their contracts and are now open to explore other opportunities.
“We’ll be cheering on our former players and the continued success of CS:GO from the sideline for now and continue to be fans of one of the greatest esports,” read the announcement.
The organization also announced that its women’s team, Dignitas Female, will no longer compete in CS:GO as well, to focus solely on competitive VALORANT moving forward.
Dignitas’ CS:GO team had struggled of late, most recently getting destroyed in the group stage at 2022 PGL Antwerp. It’s unclear at this point what the organization plans to do with CS:GO, and whether it will look to rebuild or permanently junk it.
