Starting July 14th, the Gamers8 Festival will put on weekly concerts featuring some big names, who also happen to be big gamers. Just last week, Nancy Ajram and Marshmello agreed to join a star-studded lineup that includes the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, Axwell, DJ Snake, and R3hab, with even more expected to be announced later in the summer.
The first concert on the 14th will feature pop stars Balvin and Amr Dab, as well as Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia, and Salvatore Ganacci. Seven days later, Axwell will take the stage with Emirati-Yemeni singer Balgees, and Egypt’s Mohamed Hamaki. After seven more days, attendees will be treated to a solo performance from rapper Lil Pump.
But, Gamers8 is more than just music. It also invites some of the world’s best players to come and compete across popular titles like Rocket League, Dota 2, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and PUBG Mobile. The total prize pool for the entire event, which ends September 8th, amounts to a whopping $15 million, the biggest of any esports competition. The tournaments will be broadcast live in more than eight languages.
Tickets are available for purchase from the official website of the Festival, with a starting price of $79. VIP tickets go for nearly $800.
