The Philippine Esports Organization (PeSO) is looking for partners to enrich the esports scene at the collegiate level. With several good options out there like the Collegiate Center for Esports or AcadArena, PeSo executive director Marlon Marcelo says that the sports body’s primary concern is to make sure everyone works together towards the same goal.
“What we want to do is synergize the activities that we have, we don’t want to reinvent the wheel if meron na sila talagang ganong activities,” said Marcelo. “[I]t’s more of us making sure we don’t actually coincide or magkainan ng mission.”
While professional esports has grown significantly in the Philippines, it has yet to establish itself firmly in the collegiate ranks. But with PeSO leading the charge, Marcelo believes that they will be able to collaborate and streamline further the pool of talent for esports titles and the national team.
