Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has often been dubbed the “Queen of YouTube,” and for good reason. With 3.7 million subscribers on her main channel, Valkyrae has both reputation and prestige, winning Content Creator of the Year at the 2020 Game Awards. She plays a wide variety of games, but has become most known for her Among Us and VALORANT videos.
But Valkyrae’s success (and revenue) comes from much more than just her YouTube streams. She’s the only female co-owner of 100 Thieves, as well as the organization’s first female content creator. And while we don’t know what her contract and royalties from 100 Thieves is, we do have a good idea of what she makes from content creation following a mistakenly-shared screenshot which she showed on YouTube in 2020.
The leak showed that she was earning $172,000 through her videos back then, putting her in rare territory. Her stream gets an average of 1.4 million views per month and draws in more than 15,000 concurrent viewers, which based on current market rates puts her monthly income from ads at an estimated $100,000 per month. It’s also estimated, based on membership numbers and donations, that she earned another $10,000-20,000 per month.
With an estimated net worth of $2 million, Valkyrae has solidified her spot as one of the most influential content creators in the gaming community. She has even been on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list multiple times under the gaming category for her popularity and outstanding achievements in online gaming.
