When it first came out, everybody said that Arcane was a good show. But, now, the series has the hardware to back up this claim after it won the award for Outstanding Animated Program at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
During the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Arcane became the first streaming show to take home the award for Oustanding Animated Program. It was able to beat out several other marquee TV shows including The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, Bob’s Burgers, and Marvel’s What If…?.
This was not the lone nomination for Riot Games’ show during the event. Arcane was also nominated for the Oustanding Sound Editing Award in a half-hour Comedy or Drama series. Additionally, Arcane received a nomination for the Animation award.
First released in November of 2021, Arcane is a Netflix show, based on the incredibly popular game League of Legends, that has found immense success since its launch. According to TechRadar, the second season of Arcane is expected to come out on Netflix sometime next year.
