A huge esports showcase is coming to the United Arab Emirates. This comes after Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism announced the city will host the inaugural Dubai Esports Festival (DEF2022) from November 9th to the 20th.
DEF2022, which is taking place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, will be held as part of a partnership with VSPN. This is expected to be the first international leisure event held at the Exhibition Centre since the 2020 Expo. It will also help position Dubai as a global city at the forefront of esports and gaming.
The festival will have an incredibly diverse offering. This includes esports tournaments, the launch of a school tournament, a concert featuring well-known musicians, an immersive GameExpo, and an industry networking event.
The Initiate Summit will provide attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and information within the gaming industry. Meanwhile, the GameExpo will give people a chance to take part in a variety of experienced including retro gaming activities and exclusive game launches.
