Some Of The Biggest Esports Companies Are Teaming With This Web3 Game

On September 15th, the mobile squad-based action role-playing game Guild of Guardians announced it had agreed to a multi-year partnership with some of the biggest esports organizations in the world. The eight companies included in this partnership are Cloud9, Fnatic, NAVI, Ninjas in Pyjamas, NRG, SK Gaming, T1, and Team Liquid.

Thanks to this deal, both sides will work together to build the future of Web3 gaming. Additionally, each team will be represented in the world of GOG as a playable character. These characters will come in the form of digitally tradable collectibles on Immutable X.

“This is an incredible opportunity to team up with some of the most prominent and recognizable names in the professional esports space,” said Derek Lau, the Game Director for Guild of Guardians. “GOG is a mobile team RPG which is built for players and designed as a highly accessible game, making it the perfect gateway into the world of web3 for all players.”

Guild of Guardians has been in development since March 2021. The mobile game is scheduled to come out later this year on iOS and Android devices. GOG reportedly has over 250,000 pre-registered players.
