This brand new video series aims to “magnify Black voices within Xbox to inspire, educate and motivate youth across the U.S. to aspire towards careers in the gaming industry through real-life storytelling from Black leaders and employees across the Xbox ecosystem.”
To coincide with this announcement, Xbox released a teaser trailer introducing the world to Project Amplify. Additionally, details of the initiative were shared on Xbox Wire by Q Muhaimin and James Lewis, the co-leads of Black Communities at Xbox.

In partnership with members of the Black Communities at Xbox, Xbox is looking to uplevel that statistic and close this gap by promoting pipelines for Black people and youth across the gaming industry,” the announcement reads. “Introducing: Project Amplify – a video series that aims to magnify Black voices within Xbox to inspire, educate and motivate youth across the U.S. to aspire towards careers in the gaming industry through real-life storytelling from Black leaders and employees across the Xbox ecosystem.”
Project Amplify will highlight 14 black employees from across Xbox. These individuals will share advice, insights into their current jobs, and highlights from their time in the gaming industry.
