The Taliban Wants This Video Game Banned Because Of “Violence”

The Taliban is reportedly looking to ban PUBG Mobile in Afghanistan. This comes after the terrorist group claimed that the game “promotes violence” in Afghan youths. Beyond that, the organization also believes the game is “misleading” the country’s young people.

That wasn’t the only major piece of technology under attack by the Taliban. The organization also called for a ban on TikTok, arguing that the video-sharing social media platform leads young people “astray.”

Telecommunications and internet companies in Afghanistan have reportedly been instructed to implement bans on both PUBG Mobile and TikTok. TikTok will be banned within the next 30 days while PUBG must be banned over the next 90 days.

This is not the first time that the Taliban has called for PUBG to be banned. The terrorist organization demanded that PUBG Mobile be banned back in April. However, only recently were the details of the ban ironed out.
