Last month, fans were given beta access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II from September 16th to the 26th. Now, just one day after the beta period ended, Activision said that the beta launch of Modern Warfare II was one of the biggest in COD history.
Unfortunately, Activision did not give exact figures regarding the success of the launch. However, the company did say that Modern Warfare II had the most players, hours, and matches played across PS4s, PS5s, Xbox Ones, the Xbox Series X|S, and PCs combined.
“Thank you to Call of Duty players everywhere,” COD said in a September 27th blog post announcing the record-breaking launch. “And a shout-out to Infinity Ward and all the incredibly talented teams developing the new era of Call of Duty.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is an upcoming first-person shooter game being produced by Infinity Ward and Activision. This title will be launched worldwide on October 28th.
