GAMURS Closes Series A Funding Round

On October 5th, GAMURS announced it had closed a $12 million Series A funding round. This money will be used to accelerate the company’s expansion into markets outside of Australia.

This round was led by Elysian Park Ventures and Cerro Capital. Additional participation came from Powerhouse Capital, Aura Ventures, and Artesian.

“We are incredibly proud to have the backing of Elysian Park Ventures, Cerro Capital, and all of our incredible investors,” said Riad Chikhani, the founder of GAMURS. “The round not only presents a fresh injection of growth capital but offers the opportunity to collaborate with strategically aligned investors who will actively add value in our journey to redefine gaming and entertainment media.”

GAMURS Group is an esports media and entertainment company that was founded in 2014. The Australian organization owns several notable publications including Dot Esports, We Got This Covered, The Mary Sue, and Prima Games, which bring in 55 million monthly active users.
