Tyson Brand Launching Video Game Activation

On October 13th, the Tyson Foods brand announced it had agreed to a partnership with GameSquare Esports’ Gaming Community Network in an attempt to create “the perfect Friday night routine.” This deal will see the two sides launch a limited series called Chicken and a Video Game that will feature professional athletes taking part in video game competitions while they enjoy chicken dishes.

Starting on October 14th, fans can now interact with some of their favorite athletes on Twitch each week at 7:00 PM EST via Twitch. In each episode of this limited content series, Tyson will work with pro athletes as they go head-to-head in a variety of popular esports titles.

The series will be hosted by Anthony “AA9Skillz” Machado and Bowen “Monsoon” Fuller. Some of the special guests scheduled to appear in these videos include NBAer Karl Anthony-Towns, NFLer Micah Parsons, and soccer player Javier “Chicharito” Hernández.

“For generations, Tyson brand has brought people together around the dinner table,” said Megan Huddleston, the senior vice president of marketing and innovation at Tyson Foods. “As times have changed, and moments of connection continue to evolve, Tyson brand continues to find innovative ways to bring people together over delicious food – whatever the occasion.  We are excited for this partnership and the opportunity to celebrate chicken as the official dish of Friday night gaming, inspiring people to enjoy our delicious chicken recipes alongside some of America’s favorite athletes and gamers.”

As previously mentioned, this series can be viewed on Twitch. The last episode of Chicken and a Video Game will air on November 4th.
