Twitch Launches New Guest Feature Worldwide

After being announced this Summer, Twitch officially launched its new Guest Star streaming feature for all content creators. This new initiative allows streamers to pull guests from their audience into streams, giving fans a better opportunity to get involved with their favorite creators’ content.

The Guest Star project was first unveiled at the end of June. Since then, it was only available to select creators through beta testing. As of this writing, the Guest Star tab currently says that the feature is still in beta testing, meaning it is “still a work-in-progress.” However, in a Twitter post, Twitch confirmed that Guest Star is “now available to all.”

The Guest Star feature currently allows streamers to bring up to five other Twitch users onto their stream at one time. Streamers must have viewer request mode activated in order to use the tool. Also, channel mods will be able to moderate the guests that appear on their streams.
