The Steam Deck Is Going East

After its original release back in February, VentureBeat is reporting that the first orders of the Steam Deck will start being shipped to Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea on December 17th. The shipping company Komodo will be handling the device’s distribution in these four parts of the world.

Individuals in these regions that pre-ordered the Steam Deck began receiving confirmation emails on December 1st. Once those orders are confirmed, the devices will be scheduled to ship. VentureBeat is saying that the estimated delivery time for the Steam Deck will be “a few days to a few weeks.” Orders placed before December 17th will be eligible for free shipping.

Valve will also begin accepting reservations for Steam Deck Docking Stations. Deck Docks will be shipped out alongside Steam Decks.

The starting price for a Steam Deck in these countries is about $430. Meanwhile, the docking station will run you about $109.
