Cooler Master is looking to up the ante in the gaming chair space. This comes after the organization announced the ORB X gaming pod.
As described by Cooler Master, the ORB X has a semi-enclosed “cockpit.” This product can hold up to three 27-inch monitors or one widescreen 34-inch display. It comes equipped with motorized arms that make it easy to get in and out of the pod. It can also swivel and has a wireless built-in charging station. Once you take your seat in the leather chair, the motorized arms come back down, enclosing you in the pod to create a one-of-a-kind immersive gaming experience.
“Stay relaxed or focused in this semi-enclosed station which brings you a whole new level of immersion, comfort, and luxury,” reads a product description on the Cooler Master website. “With a mission to perfect and enhance the user’s immersive experience, ORB X elevates the visual, audio, and comfort experiences for gamers and professionals.”
Cooler Master hasn’t announced the price or release date of the ORB X gaming pod. But, as explained by ExtremeTech, “we can assume” that it will have a price tag of roughly $10,000.

The Profit‘s Take:
Cooler Master is going to need to send us some of these to review. I would buy this. This is EXACTLY what I’m looking for in a gaming chair. I think this is sleeker than the other gaming pods we’ve seen. You could ALMOST put this in your living room (if you ask me). While it would be nice to see gaming pods hit the mainstream gaming audience, pricing is obviously still a barrier to that.
