After temporarily shutting down the original version of the game to highlight Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Activision relaunched Warzone on November 28th. Now though, the game is called Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera.
Moving forward, Warzone Caldera will be highlighted as a completely separate entity with two game modes (Quads and Solos) and only one map. Moreover, Warzone Caldera must be downloaded as its own platform.
This also indicates that Activision, Infinity Ward, and Raven Software will be focusing almost all of their efforts on expanding and improving Warzone 2.0. To thank fans, Activision gave all Warzone players “a few items” to use in Warzone 2.0.
Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera was originally launched on March 20th, 2020 as Call of Duty: Warzone. At this time, the game is playable on Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and PS4s.
