The dates have been set for the inaugural Asia Open Esports Championship. The competition is scheduled to run from the end of January to March 15th.
Prior to this announcement, the International Esports Federation announced that it had partnered with Big Bang Media Ventures (BBMVPL) to host the event. This will see over 35 countries participate in four esports titles as well as three skill-based categories.
“We are delighted to partner with Big Bang Media Ventures (BBMVPL) for the IESF Asia Open Esports Games,” said IESF President Vlad Marinescu. “This unique championship reaffirms our collective commitment to making esports truly immersive and inclusive and provides every gamer the opportunity to compete with the best across borders. IESF is very excited at the possibilities this event could bring to life even beyond the vibrant regions of Asia and the Middle East.”
The first-ever Asia Open Esports Championship will begin on January 30th. All of the competition’s events will be held online.
