WePlay Esports Secures DAZN Broadcast Deal For WUFL

Last week, WePlay Esports, a tournament organizer and media holding company, announced it has partnered with DAZN, a sports subscription video streaming service, to broadcast the 2021 WePlay Ultimate Fighting League (WUFL). As part of the deal, the WUFL will be available to view in over 200 countries across the world through DAZN’s global streaming platform.

The WUFL competition was founded by Oleksandr Usyk who is best known as the former undisputed world cruiserweight boxing champion. The partnership is expected to last three seasons with the inaugural season scheduled to begin this Thursday.

Maksym Bilonogov is the Chief Visionary Officer for WePlay Esports. “DAZN is a major player in the sports broadcasting market and a partner ready to support esports and to remove the boundaries between traditional and virtual sports,” said Bilonogov. “WePlay Esports’ goal is to shape a new reality where watching esports competitions will become as routine as watching a Netflix series or an important Champions League match in the evening.”
