ViRiZ Mobile Game Goes Live On Waze Navigation App

Recently, Security First International Holdings, Inc, a technology incubator and holding company, announced they were launching ViRiZ Go, a location-based mobile game. The augmented reality game is available exclusively in the Waze community.

ViRiZ Go utilizes GPS data to place virtual 3-D objects at desired locations for users to discover with ViRiZ’s virtual camera technology. It uses the Waze navigation app for object discovery. WAZE users can now locate and capture objects through WAZE search using the ViRiZ virtual camera.

Waze is a navigation app available on both Android and iOS devices. The Waze community currently has 143 million active users globally, with 420,000 volunteers helping to update maps monthly.

Augmented Reality (AR) is defined by Merriam-Webster’s dictionary as “an enhanced version of reality created by the use of technology to overlay digital information on an image of something being viewed through a device (such as a smartphone camera).” These types of games are usually played on smartphones, tablets, or portable gaming systems.
