Vermont’s First Recreational Esports League Coming Next Month

Registration recently closed for Vermont’s first recreational esports league. Based in Milton, the league offers $30 registration to children, teenagers, and adults. The titles they offer include Fortnite, Madden 21, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros.

Jenna Tucker works with Milton’s Recreation Department. She believes this program is the first of its kind in the state. “Esports allows everyone ages eight and up to be able to connect with others from the safety of their own home in a fun, easy-going way,” she said.

The program is broken up into three age brackets: Youth (8-12), Teen (13-18), and Adult (18+). The program’s first matches are scheduled to take place on April 13th.
