Simplicity Esports recently announced that Roman Franklin, the former president and COO, was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Simplicity also said that Outgoing CEO and interim CFO Jed Kaplan will take on a new role as the company’s chairman of the board of directors.
Simplicity also decided to add some new blood to the organization by hiring Knicks Lau as the company’s new CFO. Lau previously worked with Parkway Realty Management, Hudson Pacific Properties, and MGM Growth Properties.
“I am pleased to announce the addition of Knicks to our team,” said Roman Franklin. “[He] will be responsible for all [U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission] filings, and will add significant value to our overall corporate governance.”
Simplicity Esports has made numerous moves to expand its market reach, including making their own NFTs. The company also recently announced it signed a sublicense agreement with Flamengo Esports.
