Summer Game Fest Returning In June

Summer Game Fest, a complete celebration of video games, is scheduled to make its return in June. According to a press release, “the roster of participating publishers and developers, along with an event schedule outline, will be revealed in the coming weeks.”

Last year’s festival took place following the cancellation of the E3 event due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Following that, a four-month rollout of news and virtual events was broadcast across all major streaming platforms.

Curated by The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley, this year’s Summer Game Fest will again take place in an all-digital format. The exact date of the event has not been revealed at this time.

The Profit‘s Take:

I will never understand this or the Game Awards. It’s a 2+ hour show of just game ads, masquerading as content. Complete snooze and completely unnecessary.
