PlayVS Announces Launch Of High School Competition

PlayVS, a North American scholastic esports league and platform, recently announced the creation of the PlayVS Cup. Starting in June, teams from across PlayVS’ high-school competitions will be given a chance to be crowned the PlayVS Champion in titles like League of Legends, Fortnite, and Rocket League.

“PlayVS Cup is the culmination of the scholastic year of esports excellence,” it says on the PlayVS website. “All 2020-2021 Fall and Spring Season high school and youth championship teams are invited to go head-to-head to determine a single champion across League of Legends, Rocket League, and Fortnite.”

All high school teams that competed during the summer of 2020 or the fall of 2021 are eligible to enter the contest. The top 64 teams will receive invites to compete in both Rocket League and League of Legends. The top 100 Eastern and Western Fortnite players will face off in solo competitions while the top 66 teams will be invited to compete in the contest.
