Fortnite Champions Series Expecting Record-Low Attendance

Epic Games recently unveiled information for the 2021 Fortnite Champions series. According to a Twitter post from Fortnite analyst “Somebodysgun”, participation in tournaments in every region across the globe dropped by more than 50%.

The Fortnite Champions Series has existed since Fortnite was officially recognized as an esport. This allows players to earn recognition and prize money on a scale. The tournament has also been held in a variety of game modes, including solo, duos, and trios.

To compete in the 2021 Fortnite Champions Series, players will have to be placed in the Champion Division in Arena. The FNCS Qualifiers 3 will take place on May 7th, 8th, and 9th.

The Profit‘s Take:

I have been saying for years that Fortnite esports have no future beyond being a marketing exercise for Epic Games. Declining numbers and documents from the Apple-Epic lawsuit showing huge revenue misses prove I was right.
