Overland Park To Host Midwest America’s Largest “Fortnite” Tournament

LEVELUP Esports will hold Midwest America’s largest annual Fortnite tournament next month. The Overland Park Arena in Kansas will be home to the Fortnite Midwest Open Circuit on June 12th and 13th.

“We’re hoping it’s going to be a packed house,” said Topher Jaims, the Events Manager for LEVELUP. “It’s going to be a lot of socializing. Where we are in the pandemic, how long it’s lasted and hopefully coming to an end soon, people are wanting to get out, have fun and meet new people, meet friends.”

The event is open to any gamers over the age of 13. The tournament will reportedly be broken up into two heats with 100 participants in each heat.

On April 9th, LEVELUP, the third-largest esports arena in the country, officially opened its doors in Overland Park, Kansas. This came after Kanza Hall closed in 2020, repurposed, and then reopened as a gaming center.
