Netflix Is Trying To Enter The Gaming World With Rumors Of A New Subscription Service

According to a recent article from Reuters, Netflix is interested in creating a video game streaming subscription service. These rumors come after a report in late May that the company is looking to hire an executive to oversee the organization’s expansion into esports.

Reuters had a chance to speak with a Netflix executive who spoke anonymously. They said, “Members also enjoy engaging more directly with stories they love through interactive shows like Bandersnatch and You vs Wild, or games based on Stranger Things, La Casa de Papel [Money Heist] and To All the Boys. So we’re excited to do more with interactive entertainment”.

It has not yet been confirmed if Netflix’s gaming service would need to develop its own titles. The organization also has not revealed what streaming technology it could potentially use for this expansion.
