Comedian and TV personality Bill Maher is facing backlash after he said that people who use the Twitch application are wasting their time. Since making these comments, several prominent members of the gaming community have stepped forward to call out Maher.
“You think I’m out of it because I’m not on Twitch,” he asked during the monologue of an episode of Real Time with Bill Maher. “Well maybe I get Twitch, but I just think that people watching other people play video games is a waste of f**king time.”
Despite push-back from his original comments, Maher has not changed his tune about the gaming app at this time. He has not responded to any online critiques he has received since making these comments.
