UK-based gaming organization Resolve Esports recently announced the acquisition of Barrage Esports. Resolve will now take over all of Barrage’s esports and business operations, including the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC), a League of Legends esports competition for the United Kingdom and Nordic countries.
Ilias “Rai” Pajoheshfar is the CEO of Resolve Esports. He spoke about the importance of this new partnership. “It has always been our intention to compete at the highest level and the journey so far has been a brilliant one,” he said. “When Barrage kindly presented us with this opportunity, we felt an obligation to ensure the UK continues to be represented and after careful consideration, we felt the timing was right. We would like to thank Barrage for their hard work and service to UK esports, and will honor their legacy.”
Resolve Esports has reportedly paid additional compensation to members of Barrage Esports that will not be joining the organization. Resolve did confirm that “several” Barrage Esports staff will be brought into Resolve.
