Lamborghini began hosting an Asphalt 9: Legends esports tournament to help the company build its global gaming brand. The event will allow users to drive the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 as they face off against other competitors in various virtual challenges.
This competition comes as the result of a partnership with Gameloft and ESL Italy. Lamborghini said the Essenza SCV12 was the car chosen by Gameloft developers because of “its exclusivity, its sleek futuristic design, and its 830 CV engine, the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine ever developed by Lamborghini.”
Three open qualifying sessions for the tournament will be held. The first took place from May 13th through May 16th. The other two sessions will take place in mid-June and early July.
Following the opening rounds, the top 100 racers will participate in a final, closed-door qualifying round of matches in August. After that, the eight best racers will compete in the grand championship which will be held on September 18th.
