ESPL Receives Funding From RightBridge Ventures, Genting Ventures, and Warner Music

The Esports Players League (ESPL) recently announced it raised an unspecified amount of money in a pre-series A financing round. Investors say the amount “is in the ‘seven-digit of US dollars.'”

According to the ESPL, the organization was seeded by early-stage VC 500 Startups. The newest financing round was led by RightBridge Ventures AB. Other investors include Genting Ventures, Warner Music Asia, Naza Group director Datuk Wira SM Faisal, and CRAES, a Singapore-based investment company.

“ESPL is one of the fastest-growing amateur e-sports tournaments and media platforms that we have seen,” said RightBridge CEO Carlos Barrios. “The combination of geographical focus, competitive mobile gaming and non-endemic brand penetration were decisive to our investment decision.”

The ESPL was founded in 2019 and is based in Singapore. They have a vast global network of esports ecosystems spanning across 16 countries on four different continents.
